In this class the mental and technical aspect of fighting is examined and taught. Gan Teora means “without restrictions” or “without limits”. It is more of a philosophy than a style or system. Unlike traditional martial arts systems where the kata’s and forms are used to teach the basics, students are taught drills to sharpen the reflexes and break down such things as stance, guard, movement, control and balance. Any person wanting to become an instructor in the system needs to have gone through these classes and the groundfighting for about 4 years.
Thaibox is an exciting 60 minute class workout where the emphasis is on a workout that is fun and different. Using some of the techniques of Muay Thai and Kickboxing combined with time proven exercises and resistance drills the student gets a great all around workout without any contact. This class is for all levels of fitness and is a great introduction to what makes Mick Doyle’s a unique place to work out at.

We are pleased to announce that the Grappling classes will be Monday and Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm. The class will cover all aspects of the ground game including: wrestling, guard, position, submissions, strikes and conditioning. This class is open to all students in the gym and there is no additional fee for this program. This is a “NO GI” class meaning we do not require a Judo uniform.
